These onions make the perfect topper to grilled burgers and steaks. I often make these in my cast iron pan.
- White, yellow or red onions
- Red or white vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Slice white, yellow or red onions into diameters about 1/3-inch thick and place on high heat pan so they char on each side.
- After flipping the onions and when you have good char marks on each side, pour white or red wine vinegar over onions until it evaporates.
- Pour vinegar twice, then remove onions and salt to taste.
